About Us

Master Supervisors is a directory of mental health professionals including Psychologists, Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Master Social Workers, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers who are deemed elite supervisors at various mental health sites within the United States.

The Master Supervisors concept was developed by two clinicians who identified a systemic compromising of standards in the overall training of upcoming clinicians as well as the continual challenge for interns searching for a suitable internship site. This user-friendly directory was design for interns to search for an elite supervisor and internship site that will provide them with the comprehensive clinical experience they need and their future clients deserve. Although changes occur and circumstances happen, we aim to do our best to provide supervisors who reflect the standard and integrity that Master Supervisors aim to establish and maintain. We also welcome your collaborative support in assuring these standards are being maintained.

Master Supervisors cannot exist without the supervisors making the choice to join our quest to raise and maintain the standards of our upcoming clinicians and service providing professionals. The membership of our mental health professional is valued. Additionally, this directory affords supervisors with the opportunity to utilize an inexpensive marketing tool to access intern supports and promote their business. The membership will require a fixed monthly membership fee with no hidden additional fees.

As mental health professionals, we have been afforded an opportunity to evoke healing to others. We ask that you partner with us in this commitment to offer our best. Our Team

Rae Garr

Ms. Rae Alysia Garr

President

Rae Garr is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology providing counseling services to students in special education. She obtained her education from the University of St. Thomas and Houston Baptist University. She is currently completing a doctoral degree.

During her more than 20 years of experience, she has worked with clients in various capacities and diverse settings including private practice, non-profit agencies, churches, school districts, and as an adjunct faculty. In her training and experience, she has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. She also has trained medical professionals and law enforcement. Additionally, she has been a monthly guest expert on a local radio station promoting healthy marriage and relationships. During her time at the Houston Area Women’s Center (HAWC), her passion to understand the facets of trauma and the importance of effectively training others was ignited.

In her clinical practice, Rae focuses on the development and leadership of women. She embraces the responsibility to invest, engage, and provoke critical thinking about the practices of psychology. More importantly, she recognizes counseling as a responsibility requiring a competence and cultivation of skills to effectively facilitate healing in others.

Arcella Trimble

Dr. Arcella Trimble

Vice President

Dr. Arcella is a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Consultant, and Master Teacher. She is an expert in Behavior Modification, Learning, Research, Supervision, and Training. During her tenure at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine/Kennedy Krieger Institute, Dr. Arcella specialized in parent training and marriage and family therapy. Additionally, Dr. Arcella has worked as an assistant professor and contributing faculty member at several colleges and universities. Dr. Arcella has provided training and presentations for local and national conferences.

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Arcella has worked with clients in mental health facilities (inpatient and outpatient clinics, university counseling center, community health organizations), businesses, schools, and private practice. In her clinical practice, Dr. Arcella uses cognitive behavioral treatments to promote wellness in individuals, couples, and women. Dr. Arcella also has experience in career and lifestyle development with millennials. As a consultant, she assists organizations and individuals with issues pertaining to diversity, conflict resolution, emotional intelligence and labor, behavior modification, and strategic planning. Dr. Arcella has served as a consultant for organizations such as the CDC, Spelman College, and DeKalb County Schools. Through the use of evidenced based treatment, data collection, assessment, and uniquely crafted experiential learning and behavioral activities, Dr. Arcella successfully enhances outcomes for individuals, groups, and businesses.

    As a graduate student, I had the pleasure of completing my practicum under the supervision of Ms. Rae Garr. Ms. Garr was an outstanding supervisor as well as a great teacher. During my practicum I learned how to write SOAP notes, keep up with records, intake procedures, counseling theories and treatment plans that I used with my patients as well as the laws of the LPC world.
